well of souls

well of souls

A Poem by Empty Spaces

in a land iv'e heard of. theres a tale of a man. who sucks souls out of people till he's so full he cant stand. he lives in the desert. his home is the sand. the children run scream. they try but cant flee. for when he breathes dead bodies are all you see. he stores the souls in a well. someplace were no mere mortal dwells. were you cant hear the sounds of the souls. who weep and moan.

Definitely a nice little depiction of an alternate, and pleasantly morbid reality, dude. Nice, I am really into these little fantasies, being that I played video games (specifically RPG's) and have read all my life. Although my poems don't exactly coincide with such, you did dandy.

lol as a fellow gamer i thank you sir
Great poem. It's a short story of sorts, and it's a haunting one at that. Wonderful job, friend. i look forward to reading more of your work.
