Don't Forget Me

Don't Forget Me

A Poem by Nikki James Wolf
"

A love that was found, a love that was lost.

"
If I told you I loved you,
What would you say?

I still remember the days we played,
our heads in the clouds,
our hands intertwined.
What would you say if I wanted you to be mine?

Days would past by,
and I wouldn't know.
Thinking about you was what I did most.

The room on the fifth was where you came back.
I gave you a smile,
you cried on my lap.
Bittersweet memories were what you gave back.

I grabbed your hand,
you looked away.
Another man stood in the hallway.

Where did the time go?
I wouldn't know.
Thinking about you was what I did most.

We can go back in time,
make it be like how it was before.

This bed would be our field,
this ceiling our clouds.
Ignore the scars, hold my hand.
Pretend it's you and me alone in this land.

Just give me this one thing before I have to leave.

I don't want to forget you, so don't forget me.
