Lemonade is The Liquid of Fate

Lemonade is the Liquid of Fate. A Sestina.

Why do we have fate?

So when destiny comes our way,

We won’t have to worry about the past.

Though, we still have to choose who we are.

Every day you have to turn the page,

So life will reward you lemonade

 

When you have limes don’t make lemonade

Because then the thing that dies will be called you and fate.

Love and hatred is written on the page.

Have you studied the author’s way?

Learning it will affect who you are,

A lot more than the Day of Future Past.

 

The day of the future are created out of the past,

So is sour lemonade.

Everybody cares about who you are.

Change your character and change your fate.

Then, everybody will hate the way,

You interpreted the code on the page.

 

Read the first word and end up writing the second page.

I once met the Ghost of The Future, Present, and Past.

Very sneaky and troublesome was his way.

He told me to give you some poisonous lemonade.

I will force you to drink the liquid of fate.

Maybe death will change who you are.

 

Nah! I know it will change who you are.

It will definitely turn the page.

You will grabbed by the hands of fate,

Just like I was stolen from the past.

Come on, old man! Drink that lemonade!

Yes! No you’re gone and out of my way!

 

You’re not lucky so death won’t choose your way.

Death has stolen who you are.

I achieved my goal so I have been rewarded lemonade,

That spilled all over your page.

The tricky lesson was: reconnect with the past

To have an amazing destiny or fate.

 

We fate so we can change our way.

You didn’t connect with the past and didn’t change who you are.

The page I read was great, so was the lemonade.

I realize this poem might make no sense at all. This poem is a Sestina.

I like it! I have always been wanting to experiment with Sestinas, but they've always seemed like something that requires a lot of organization.
