Darkness

Darkness

A Poem by Jake Dunn
"

Suicidal thoughts put into a poem

"

It's finally run out

And no one will ever hear you, regardless of how loud you shout

This is the beginning of the end

So stop trying to pretend

Pretending that you're still able to function

You've been worn down by all the corruption

Just like the rest of us

There isn't anything left to discuss

You're just another angry teenager to them

You're just going through a phase again

Just like me

And all those others you see on the TV

Phases are the only thing we experience

We don't have long lasting beauty or brilliance

You and I are just broken

It's lovely how our feelings are just another one of their slogans

Nothing we feel truly matters to anyone

Their words hurt worse then any knife or gun

I'm just a worthless teenager to anyone who notices

I'm just one of the many who knows what hopeless is
