Lily of the Valley

Lily of the Valley

A Poem by 23rdstar

They tried to kill a dream

Murder her and soil her, dispoil her and end the line

Though the Gates we flew to her aid and took her away through the darkness

Because we would not let Love die

Let the trumpets clairon call ring out as we fall back through time

To ride out as one for Love

Appearing as Angels in the Heavens to take her away

For we will never allow Love to leave the worlds

Under banners of Light and banners of Darkness

Sail we out amongst the stars

A liar leading us out to battle, who now speaks the Truth

His heart renewed by the sight of life brought new from the womb

Hell has her wrath

And Heaven it's untold joys, and streets of gold

But we care for neither but instead for a place undreamt of by mortals or gods

A place that we call Home

Death may claim a Goddess

But her line continues unbroken through the blood of worlds yet to be Dreamed

And her Daughter rises young fresh and taught the ways of honour, love, and mercy

To carry Love throughout the ages with a kind and strong heart

I am a lone freak using my keyboard as a gun to shoot down stars and ask them questions before they go back to the heavens. I serve them the best tea, and make sure that my shot has not wounded them o.. more..
