A Poem by 23rdstar

We aren't the meat for your table, or the drink for your feast.
We come from the shadows and strike back hard
Leaping fast and strong filled with some extra vim and vigour
To take the hunters down
And rend them from their guns with our teeth and hands made into claws

We watched the ship go down
Had a part in the Jubilee
Sang to the passing moon
Ran along the water margin
So you think that we will fall to your gun
Be cut by your knives into meat?
Fools we are more than meat, more than drink for your cups
We are spirit locked into flesh striking you down
To then disappear among the shadows

Because some say wolves never die...

About
I am a lone freak using my keyboard as a gun to shoot down stars and ask them questions before they go back to the heavens. I serve them the best tea, and make sure that my shot has not wounded them o.. more..
