A Poem by 23rdstar

It's to bad they say
And I grit my teeth knowing in my heart that will never be the truth
And that having a mouth full of lies is like having a mouth full of s**t
The tricks of the world take and make less
The glory that lies unhidden everywhere

The breath of the wind touches the sky with a kind of love that we can only dream of
Without reason and uncalled for
And i'm lost in the curling roll of the waves
That tumble on the shores of a million worlds
Across the void like bubbles of light and life

Struck down we have to rise again
Throughout a world that doesn't seem to see or hear
That has struck itself deaf, dumb, and blind to the greater will
And the heartbeat of both the hunter and prey
Of lovers in a tight embrace
And the cry of the newborn
