Two Watchers

Two Watchers

A Poem by 23rdstar

You expect to be trusted when you lie openly
We sit watching and knowing
Legs crossed smiling at our own dreams that you will never take part in
Fools to you but we have seen how the dice can throw unexpected results

And it's to bad that you'll never know what it is to have one really put their faith in you
Yeah, honey it's to bad
But that is what you earn when your mouth is full of untruths and falsehoods
Your tricks won't win us because we have seen them before

So we ready to on and away
Shouldering our packs without expression
Taking to our feet to let our shoe leather carry us to the railhead
And then away into the night

The blues that we have shared with you
We were never any better than you could have been
Our hands held in trust and grace we stride on through the storm
To see a new born life, a newly born son

I am a lone freak using my keyboard as a gun to shoot down stars and ask them questions before they go back to the heavens. I serve them the best tea, and make sure that my shot has not wounded them o.. more..
