While New York drowns

While New York drowns

A Poem by 23rdstar

Will you hold my hand while New York drowns
Soaring away on a eagle's wings
Through the aether
Towards the blood red moon

A thick thighed plushly built goddess dances on the bow of the ship
Her mountain lions watching the stars
Looking for signs that the elder races passed this way
Seeding the stars with life and a hope against the grasping void

And I make love to you and we feel no pain
Dreams of new worlds and places lighting the midnight hours
A sword of stars grasped and placed against your pale skin
And the galaxy turns around on a million year axis

Undone black dreadlocks drift in a wooly cloud
While the child goddess grasps for a leaf among floating forests
Her hands unbound to take hold amongst the swirl of radio signals
But still New York drowns in the greening...

About
I am a lone freak using my keyboard as a gun to shoot down stars and ask them questions before they go back to the heavens. I serve them the best tea, and make sure that my shot has not wounded them o.. more..
