Rememberances of a clockwork heartA Poem by 23rdstarA man with a clockwork elven heart remembers his duties to the past and futureBrightsoul, the Evenstar Why to you fret the days away? Do not the joys of your world please you anymore? Has the love that you had for us died away Into the falling of the moon into the west? My love for you has not died through out the ages Nor will it dim with the dust of the years that have passed And cover the worlds with cobwebs of time and times again Though it cannot be enough it is all that there is to offer You blessed my skies for a time, gracing the worlds with yourself Now a clockwork elven heart beats hard in my chest The last reminder of a those passing days That will sustain this life until the day has come that even the skies may fall And the final curtain is drawn across the stage of these times Evenstar do not cry so For one who loves you always still lives And through the grace of your forgotten folk lives on To walk these lands and worlds A living reminder of times gone now Of brightsouls brave and stalwart Heroes who though small would not give Nor break but instead stand fast in the face of the allfoe Now they are gone, and gone by long the time And only the one with the clockwork heart of grace Stands to remember those days © 2010 23rdstar |
