Songs for the Moon

Songs for the Moon

A Poem by K.

if i did something wrong
let the snow fall
silently, at night

if my language
bore too many harsh words
let the tide come early
wash over the pebbles
& the bare feet

if you avoid the beggars
feasting on smiles & laughters
cast no glimpse on me again
my silence is already broken
but my abscence still stays

the moon has seen too many shipwrecks
and it knows all my pledges
by heart
