![]() BiteA Poem by Olivia DanielleShe put her wrist next to mine when I wasn’t looking She compared the size Mine had no bite marks She looked at herself in the mirror She saw her half-eaten body The creature clamped its jaw onto her leg And took a bite She went to sleep Dreamt of a world without her creature Much to her dismay, she awoke She dreaded looking in the mirror To find her legs were so much smaller than she remembered With the creature full, she didn’t feel like eating Later when the creature needed sustenance It emptied out the contents of the the girl’s stomach Then, with a large appetite, took a bite of her waist She couldn’t help but like how that looked No one could see this creature except for her No one believed this creature was there except for her Sometimes she didn't either But she needed to believe she wasn't doing this to herself © 2020 Olivia DanielleReviews
