Put me down, walk away

Put me down, walk away

A Poem by Olivia Danielle

My dear, I don’t like it

I don’t like it when I hurt you

When you pick me up and use me

Do you know how much I don’t like it?

I despise the feeling of my edges

Drawing a clean cut against your flesh

I don’t like the side of my blade, my beautiful blade

Being drenched in your pain

I thoroughly hate when you use me

Use my metal as a mirror

You see the creature you’ve become

Yet you still blame me

My dear, I really wish you would stop

Put me down, and walk away

Your red pain will become a crust

My mirror will fade

When your flesh is covered

In the pictures I’ve drawn

My blade will be dull

There’ll be nothing left to draw on

You’ll rot away, surely

But I’ll have to stay and watch

Please put me down

Just walk away

verily, it hurts when someone treats someone's body and soul more like an object... well inked and dripped.
