A Chapter by Carmen Williams

Chapter Two

It's scream was deafening. The world seemed to be moving in slow motion. Kate opening her mouth to scream, flinging her hands in front of her face. Shattered glass covered the ground, and rain poured in through the window. The ghost flung itself at her, knocking her to the ground. It pinned her down, screaming again and looking at her with pure hatred. It didn't even need eyes, you could feel the hatred coming of of it in waves.
Next to me, the door opened and the teacher stepped out. "Now what is going on..." she started, but then stopped when she saw it standing over Kate.
It turned to look and spotted the teacher as well. It screamed again, then turned back and quickly ran the knife along Kate's arm, then flew away, leaving her on the ground, screaming.
Blood gushed out of Kate's cut, turning the tiles underneath her bright red. The teacher still stood in the doorway, paralyzed. "What are you doing?!" I yelled, "help her!" The teacher quickly snapped out of it
