![]() The HuntedA Poem by Dream Catcher
Time to build a stronger house
The straw is light as a feather betraying me with its sways in windy weather The sticks break and splinter cutting my raw skin in winter Maybe i should build it out of brick sturdy and won't give way predators won't feast to my dismay but i will still hear to wolves howl and it will echo like a night owl I'm no longer a breezy girl or a sharp whip lady but a stone hard women Now locked away i crave the eyes of the wolves at bay I fall prey to the desire they hold his eyes are a blaze but his heart is cold The pack follows in a slow saunter, snouts dripping, they howl my name I run but they only bother to chase as part of the game Now I'm not even a stone hard women but a wide eyed doe The trees whisper as I tear past I whip my head around jerky and fast I hear them all, the snarling wolves, the leaves rustling in laughter I dare a glance back and don't take another step after My flesh yields to his teeth, I feel the piercing pain and quiver his cold hard heart steals my warmth and I'm left to shiver Now what am I?
