My Beautiful Destruction

My Beautiful Destruction

A Poem by Dream Catcher

I try to ignore you

i know your just blowing a smoky dream my way to hide the wake of my recent destruction

but, i can't help but inhale deep, letting the dream into my lungs

letting it fill me with a burst of brief life

the idea that i can be whole and happy with you is foolish

just let me revel in the ruble that was once me

once the dust settles they'll see the damage, so i need you to hide the peices

you obscure their eyes so they can think i'm still standing

but i know you just prey upon my glorious fall

it entices you, the thought that you can make me whatever you want

but your cloudy air smells sweet and i need to breath

like the egyptians i can build myself big and sound but it's a slow grow

so for now, you can mingle in the after math

my beatiful nightmare.... who loves my beatiful destruction
