Maiden Voyage

Maiden Voyage

A Poem by Royal Martinez
"

In unexplored territory, every experience is tenuous though we hope it'll be exactly as we imagine.

"

Began as a worthless promise

Ended after the dirtiest deed

In the morning

As sunlight heals,

Ask me how I feel.

Flashing the craftiest smile,

Lie!

Say it hurt only for a short while

Cringing from the pain inside

A single touch never meant so much,

Awoke such a senseless lust.

Why many tears come to the eyes

Though aside still pray,

When gone today

Time will sway you my way again tomorrow

After yesterday
