Live this Life

Live this Life

A Poem by Royal Martinez
"

Fleeting it is till flashing before your vision then, gone.

"

   Peering deeply,

At the grace of color’s beauty through a spider web

A blue-hued, six-legged friend dips his head.

One shy, lonely ray finds its way

Amidst threads of lengthy curtain which drape the canopy.

Adoration of caterpillar saliva in which a rainbow is captured,

Enraptures the senses!

Uncommon as it is,

The very dream once again

Time shows the sun as risen high in its sky already!

Warmth crawled alongside serendipity

Comfort resonated with the commencement of heartbeats,

In the blink of an eye a coat was shrugged off.

Off it flew,

Caught twixt the beak of a bird.

Unknown and unheard, though not unseen,

Between clouds and I

A lesson.

Freedom’s essence, could last mere seconds

This is a very nice piece. I really enjoyed the last line: "Freedom's essence, could last mere seconds"
