Good, Sexy, Ugly

Good, Sexy, Ugly

A Poem by Royal Martinez
"

What defines a victim? Availability, susceptibility, proximity to an evildoer? We are entitled to freely live our lives but is it wise to become inebriated in the presence of predators? Kin or otherw

"

Surely goodness and mercy

   Be wary of protector types,

What makes them so nice?

Willing to take the weaker one’s place,

Different smiles for alternate styles!

What brings anonymous life-forms to these dump sites?

   Right… Naivety!

Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life!

Slain brutally over a pizza-driven joyride

Fueled or induced, chopped and screwed,

Broken then discarded!

An end of days at which point,

Time itself will begin to retard!

Hell-bent all the same, sooner than later

Though easily forgotten name and face,

The very memory becomes a stain!
