Mitochondrial Eve

Mitochondrial Eve

A Story by 1blaquote
"

We all originated from one black woman...

"

The

Black

Woman, created

in the image of beauty,

in the likeness of all the earth.

Fertile like the soil that springs forth life.

Firmly rooted like the tree, stretching wide

her branches to the North, South, East and West.

Producing fruit that bear seeds, in due season. While providing

shelter and shade. Adam is the sun and rain, penetrating the soil

with nourishment, providing

warmth until

harvest.

And

God said,

I shall place

a Seal Of Unconditional

Love within every life you bring

forth, it will be called, the soul of man.

I shall give of myself a Supreme Presence

In Refined Intertwined Truth, this will be called

the spirit of man. You shall carry in your womb,

the seed of all

mankind!

Lovely words - seems to me that it needs more stanzas as I felt I wanted to hear more of the story unfold it was told so well to begin with. Thank you for sharing. Your positivism is much appreciated.

I would love to be among a stand of trees such as this. Primordial. Love the visual effects of the form. I think this is the strength of this poem, though considering the current social climate, the message is timely as well as timeless...and indeed necessary to enlighten us to the true continuity of life on earth.
