What Happened?

Another rambling poem from a mind that doesn't make sense.

Fell in love

Not sure how

But yet it is there

Ask me to be yours

I was always

But you were never mine

Am I just the next girl to chase?

The next one you say you love?

The next one in the twisted line?

We were sister and brother

Yet now you seem to want something different

Or is this just a cruel joke you are playing on my heart?

I stood by you

You stood by me

Now... I feel we have lost that security

What happened to the boy I once knew?

What happened to the one I loved?

Loved, in more ways than one

I've felt like both the female of this poem and the male before. Great job, I really like the how I was able to feel the confusion. I'm not sure if that was intentional or not, but I thought it really worked out nicely for your poem.
