~Reptilian Snake~

~Reptilian Snake~

A Poem by Tepher Church

I Felt Less Sorrow
Must Dig my way to The Hollow
But Her Mud Is Too Thick
And Its making Me Sick
I failed To Burrow
I'm Not Slimy Enough
Impenetrable Muck
Won't Spend this whole life stuck
Digging at Impenetrable Muck
For Another Dose Of Sorrow
Another Gift For Tomorrow
I'm Not Slimy Enough
Impervious and Full Of Rust
Getting Sick Of Growing Tired
I Can't Get In
I Cannot Win This
This Mud is too Thick
Won't Spend This Whole Life Stuck Outside
Easy Catch For The Bird's Eye
Take to Ocean Or Sky?
Seek another
Seek the Mother
F**k Her
She's just a Little Too Late
I've Got another Plate
For Another fate
It took
Shallow Waters
For me to Escape back into My Eye's Vision
To See
My Own Reflection
To Wake Up From Your Illusion
The Spell you cast Didn't Last
The Identity You Had Me Assume Didn't Bloom
Not for your Sake
I Am Reptilian Snake
It's You're Kind That I Consume
I'm Still Not Slimy Enough
Does That Mean Your Safe?
Does That Make You Safe?
Did This Make You Safe?
Are You Saved?
