Into the Fire

Into the Fire

A Poem by Marcelles D. Raynes
"

A poem about...

"

Like memories of a Rose unturned.

Pain and Panic are quickly learned.

The time for Love is at an end.

Pain and Panic shan't be learned again.

Alone the memories will row

Into the Fire you go.

The Ash and Cinder glow so bright.

Reparations could be done that night.

But nothing comes from Ash or Cinder

Nothing more than scars and tinder.

From Destruction I will grow

But further into the Fire you go.

Liars come and go at will

They attempt to make the Heart Beat still.

Only caring for what’s on the surface

Rarely do they serve a purpose.

Her Love is fake and this I know

So cast into the Fire she goes.

Alone the King shall rest tonight.

Day after day he struggles with strife.

The King is alone without Respite.

From the crack of dawn till the dead of night.

Surrounded by what he will never receive

Their Love and Happiness must be weaved.

He needed his Queen, of this you know

So into the Fire I must go.
