Smile

It's all we can do. A sad face never helped anybody, but a small smile, a small act of kindness and appreciation towards somebody else, can. Smile! :)

What else is there to do

But put on a happy smile,

Even when you're sad,

Because nothing can fix up,

Your problems.

What else is there to do,

But smile and try

To spread a smile on others

Sad days, because there's nothing

To fix your hole.

And by hoping to spark up

Somebody else's day,

Who knows what life you've saved?

Who knows if they were suicidal that day,

And your smile lifted the dark over the light?

Whatever is lost can be found

Sometimes with help by others.

What else can we do, but try to smile,

And hope to make others happy.
Smile.

It's all we can do.

Author's Note

A smile to somebody can make a big difference to their world. It might not fix the world's issues, or your problems, but it may help lift somebody else's sadness. Big to small, start smiling girls and guys!

I liked this poem. And indeed, I couldn't agree more with this idea. A smile can actually make a lot of difference. Not only to others but to oneself too. It may not give a solution but it definitely gives hope and strength to fight through something that drives us into our dark sides. I loved this poem. Thanks for sharing. :)
