Poor JaneA Poem by 1DisawsumThis is a song my group made in Elective History.. Based on Jane Seymour, Henry VIII's 3rd wife out of 6 aha thought I'd post the song up here :D The tune is from She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5, enjoy!Verse: She was born in the 16th century, To a family not royal. She could not believe her luck when she Heard the news that Anne had died. She was the lady-in-waiting to Catherine then Anne. And that meant that she could be married to Henry now… Chorus: Once a maid but never crowned queen She gave birth to a male heir He was named Edward But Jane died a short time later She is poor Jane She is poor Jane Verse 2: Anne murdered, and Jane got engaged, a Doting wife to Henry the eighth. Submissive and loving and quiet. Her child, Edward sixth. Labour pains and heartache, A week later, died in hospital. Edward lost his only mother, Henry lost his, only true love. Chorus: Once a maid but never crowned queen She gave birth to a male heir He was named Edward But Jane died a short time later She is poor Jane! She is poor Jane! She is poor Jane! She is poor Jane! Bridge: She needed a King, to be crowned a Queen. Served lady-in-waiting to Catherine then Anne. Nothing happened and Queen after Queen died. Might have been next, but she already took the chance! Anne murdered, and Jane got engaged, a Doting wife to Henry the eighth. Chorus: Once a maid but never crowned queen She gave birth to a male heir He was named Edward But Jane died a short time later
She is poor Jane! She is poor Jane! She is poor Jane! She is poor Jane! Tried so hard, but died so soon! Tried so hard, but died so soon! Tried so hard, but died so soon... © 2015 1Disawsum |
