The Truth is Calling

The Truth is Calling

A Poem by 1Disawsum

The darkness scares me
With its mystery and silence.
Monsters are hidden,
Humans, animals, plants.

The light blinds me
With its glaring, probing eyes.
The hatred burns me,
Shame fills my body up.

Falling in love scares me too,
Betrayal is worse,
Having faith in people,
Promises break.

The crack in the lies,
Trapped.
The truth meets light,
Destroyed.

The sunshine,
Turns to darkness.
Clouds are brewing,
A storm is approaching.

Lightning splits,
All of a sudden,
We're on separate sides.

Thunder is rolling,
Cracking like a whip,
The hate is brewing,
Sadness, creeping in.

The silence scares me
Because it tells the truth,
The loudness scares me,
The truth isn't far now.

About
I'm sitting here behind a screen, Writing about my past like I don't care. Like it's in the past, And I'll never go back there again. But the truth of the matter right now, Is that every secon.. more..
