Today

 One day we will never be able to see

The lovely blue sky in all its glory.

One day, we will never be able to see

The glaring of the sun, the beauty of the clouds.

 

One day we will never be able to smell,

The sweet smells of nature, one day,

We will never be able to hear the sounds of animals,

Living their own, separate lives.

 

One day, we will never be able to dream.

 

One day, we will never be able to

Reminisce and bathe in our wonderful memories,

One day, we will never be able to say that we have lived,

And seen the many events that have crossed our paths.

 

One day, we will never be able to say

The three little words to the people that we hold dear,

One day, we will never be able to feel their presence,

Or hear their sweet voices.

 

One day, we will never be remembered by our descendants

One day, our history will be gone.

No one will remember us, no one will

Ever be able to think about us.

 

We will forever be buried underground,

Or burnt and our spirits in the sea,

One day, we will never be seen again,

Never be alive again.

 

So today is the day to take action,

To say the three words never said,

Today is the day, to create more memories,

Today is the day, to make our mark on history.
