I AmA Poem by 1DisawsumMy journey so far.I am my abusive mother, Who put the work in, To make my life harder. I am my violent father, Who taught me to look, Deeper than the surface. I am my terrible sister, Who was never there for me, When I needed her the most. I am my foster father, Who taught me The meaning of love. I am my tiny grandma, Who never helped fight, My lonely, lost battle. I am my big, ol' grandpa, Who always tried to Stop the fighting. I am my amazing aunt, Who taught me to Smile through the pain. I am my lovely uncle, Who taught me to Never give up hope. I am the cancers that killed My amazing, graceful grandpa, But has left me with happy memories. I am the police That locked my parents, Forever, and for life. I am the great big judge, Who helped me in court, To fight the injustice. I am my young lawyer, Who helped my case, And believed in a better life. I am the teachers that have Taught me, that we are Who we are inside. I am the principal, Who always saw, But never did. I am my school's community, Who have always hated me, I never want to go back. I am the anonymous influence, Who taught me to face the world, With courage this high. I am the past that has Created me, I am the Present, in which I live in now. I am grateful for the ride, The experiences and Everlasting memories, I will cherish forever. I am ME, the poetry lover. Who are YOU so far?
