Unknown

Unknown

A Poem by 1Disawsum

He was unknown, they all were,
But they died for us, all the same.

During the fight, no shame they felt,
They fought until the last of their breaths.

Knowing that they would never see their loved ones,
They still signed up, to help fight for us humans.

Humans who were too afraid to step up,
And take action against humanity.

They were the brave, spirited individuals,
Ones who never stopped believing in justice.

Though they're not here anymore,
They have never stopped fighting for us.

What makes us stop fighting, for the justice they deserve?
So many tombstones, all reading the same words.

No names, just date of death, and event that took place.
No loved ones to visit them, they remain 'unknown'.

I'm sitting here behind a screen, Writing about my past like I don't care. Like it's in the past, And I'll never go back there again. But the truth of the matter right now, Is that every secon.. more..
