Children~ Sweet, Loving and Caring

Children are often so honest,

That we as adults sometimes forget,

They can also be lying and so deceitful,

Just like the adults around them are.

Children are so sweet and caring,

Unlike the world around us,

Yet as they grow older, 

They realise the world can be a dark place.

Children are so loving and kind,

Putting everyone else before them and their needs,

Yet as they grow older, 

They realise they must change to fit in.

Children are often so tender and beautiful,

Like new flowers just blossoming.

Yet they must harden up in time,

Just in case they fall behind.

Children are so amazing and wise beyond their years,

Yet with everything good, must come the bad.

They grow older, and they see

What a pitiful world they've been born in.

Nobody is as fragile, sweet, young and caring,

As little children do become.

Nothing is as graceful and gentle,

As children just born into this world.

Children are born into this world,

With no choice to be born,

Yet we don't give them any knowledge,

Of the cruel world they see as a beautiful place.
