Hurt, Pain and Trust

Be careful who you trust, because the ones you trust the most, can also hurt you the most. Once you trust, the control is out of your hands.

The ones that are closest to you,

Are the ones who hurt you the most.

Their words have a different effect,

Their actions, indescribable.

The searing pain felt,

When you suddenly realise,

That everything you thought you knew,

You never knew at all.

No sorries will be enough,

No embraces will ever help.

The wounds that were cut open,

Will never be complete.

You will never feel whole again,

Your heart was wrenched out of you,

You're hurting deep inside,

But nobody will know to what extent.

Trust can be played out in many different ways,

Some people trust and are safe,

Whereas others, don't have as much luck.

Some people trust, to only get hurt again.

Trust is a dangerous thing,

Yet when you are finally broken,

Your heart torn into many sharp pieces,

You realise that you are the only one to blame.

And that hurts the most.
