Been through the forest, Asked every tree where she hid. Conquered each mountain top Seeking her face at the ridge. Flew to the stars; Inquired of her whereabouts. Interrogated the moon, Hoping to flush her out. Went to the sea; Deepest part I could find. Submerged my soul, And searched it for miles at a time. Yet, this phantomly figure, Legend, folklore; Eternally eluded sight 'Till I searched no more.
I love the beginning, it starts out super strong and I think the last line is very strong as well, but I think you could elaborate just a tad bit more on how she/true love itself is folklore, etc. just my thoughts! loved it otherwise.
