Who I Want To Be

An uplifting poem about the strength of becoming your own woman.

I want to be that woman,

who never looked back,
who never took a road,

because it was easier,
than the road she knew,

would lead to her dreams.
who was never too scared,

to step up & meet her fate,
was never too shy,

to follow her heart,
& never too nervous,

to take the chance,
whenever life & fate

had given to her.

I want to be able to,

look back on my life,
& have no regrets,

'what if's'' or ''if only's''
 & one day far away,

when i'm old & grey,
I want to sit down,

& tell my life's story,
to my grandkids & their friends.
& say '' what a life I've had!''

I want to inspire people,

to always be strong,
to always do

what they know is right for them,
& always love life,

no matter what life seems,
to have to offer them at the time.
to never be afraid of love,

for from love,
comes everything in life,

that's worth having!
