RIVER ROCK

RIVER ROCK

A Poem by Zeek4
"

A metaphor for life Inspired by a rafting trip though the Grand Canyon.

"

There are rocks in the river

We are caught in the flow

The rocks I hit

         Will be different from yours

Some rocks are sharp cause pain

         Make you bleed

Others are smooth

         You slide by free

There are rocks in the river

It can be scary at times

Just ride the river

         Focus downstream at all times

Don’t fight the current

         Some rocks you can’t see

There are rocks in the river

At the end you’ll be free

Some rides are calm

Eddies abound

Others are rough

You get knocked around

There’s no fighting the river

         Or the ride you’ll get

Just ride the river

         Have no regrets

There are rocks in the river

         You’ll hit them sometimes

Just ride the river

         Be strong, survive
