My Lovely

My Lovely

A Poem by QuantumPlateShone

My Lovely

Ode to you,

The one who is mine,

The one with grace and vigor

Your eyes, the orbs of your soul

Extract reverence and mirth

From all you admire

And from all who admire you

When your lips utter words

And kiss your voice,

Both seem to laugh

The omnipotence of your wisdom

Spur me to gawk incredulously

What makes you so much more

Enviable?

I cannot emulate your beauty

Comprised of virtue and strength,

Let your glory be proclaimed!

Let all rejoice as I do

Even at simply glimpsing your passing ambiance.

For you radiate compassion, kindness, and purpose

You make me unable to recall heartache,

It is nothing more than a mirage

Faroff, innocuous and unthreatening

When I am near you

Your crooked grin and

Slow wink hold me,

Rigid in a spell

You enchant me with every mellifluous breath

Fairies and flowers

Are jealous of you,

But even they admire sheepishly

From behind emerald leaves

The sun rises at your beckoning,

The clouds part at one whisper

To reveal sunshine you call forth

And adore

As your hair cascades about you,

Like glistening streamers,

My strokes detect nothing but silky tassels

I touch your cheek

And you smile and close your eyes.

You tease my demure smirk

But you display yours just as shyly

While you remain,

I will love you.

When you leave,

I will remember your perfection

You evoke in me feelings

Beyond describing by the word “love”.

So I shall wield another:

Ecstasy
