Ode to the Wise Man

Ode to the Wise Man

A Poem by QuantumPlateShone
"

This is a short poem I wrote my Freshman year of high school. I hope you find it interesting.

"

Ode to the wise man

Who does more than a common one can

Where his thoughts go wandering

So does his understanding

Through philosophical conundrum he appears to pan

And nothing seems to stay his thirst for comprehending

Evil follows, hoping to confuse

And so each side of the battle stalks him in twos

What can the ordinary hope to compare?

When so many are caught in ignorance’s snare

Ode to the wise man,

Let him be spared sighs and cries

He renders the fool speechless with words that are pondering

And so he sits, deep within a muse

His achievements stretch through time, like tentacles of twine

He, so memorable, so distinct as the taste of wine
