Hush little baby

Hush little baby

A Poem by Lizziekin

Hush little baby,
Don't show how you cry,
I understand the pain you're holding inside,
But they mustn't see the ripped up shreds,
Of the dreams you'd have when you'd rest your head.
The world is big yes the world its bad,
But oh there's so much fun to be had,
I know you feel you've missed it all,
Because of one lonely night where you lost it all,
He slapped you,
Kicked you,
Pinned you down,
Oh he ripped your dress,
Scratched your skin,
Stretched your body til your patience wore thin.
You fought him,
Slapped him and pinned him down,
Ripped his throat,
Now he is on the ground.
He lays there dead for just a minute more,
Until you hear the police knocking at your door.
But who was to blame?
Do you really have to ask?
Ask if he was blamed for the task?
Of course he wasn't she was jailed for life,
Her life sentence was cut short,
But her soul had died far before,
When she felt her resistance break,
Was when her mind had all it could take.
She was locked up and jailed for life.
Until her wrist had a sharp encounter with a knife.
