I’m going to just come right out and say it

She’s the best friend I’ve had :)

She came to my rescue the minute I needed it

Without me even asking for her help

I cherish the times I talk to her

For we always have new things to talk about

Even though we just met

It feels like we’ve known each other for years

When I’m down she doesn’t say mhm and I’m sorry

She pep talks and she encourages me

And she makes me feel like I’m important again

I feel like if I needed a hug she’d jump on a plane

And come all the way here to Indiana

Hunt me down, and hug me until the hurt was gone

She’s the reason I’m getting better.

I’m going to be honest

I’m going to just come right out and say it

This poem isn’t for just anyone

It’s for Kelsey :)
