Snowflakes falling like feathers from the sky, queen at the window embroidering. Queen pricks finger and blood falls on the snow outside. Queen makes a wish. Queen Oh that I had a child as white as snow, Red as blood, and as black as ebony! Int. Palace-Day-Many years later Stepmother in secret place speaking to looking glass. Stepmother Looking Glass upon the wall, Who is the fairest of them all? Looking Glass You are the fairest of them all. Stepmother That is correct. Int. Palace-Day Stepmother in secret place speaking to looking glass Stepmother Looking Glass upon the wall, Who is the fairest of them all? Looking Glass Queen you are full fair ‘tis true, but Snow-White fairer is than you Int. Palace-Day Stepmother in the throne room speaking to Huntsman Stepmother Take the child out into the woods so That I may set my eyes upon her no more. You must put her to death and Bring to me her heart. Huntsman Yes milady. Ext. Woods-Later that day The Huntsman was about to pierce Snow-White’s innocent heart when she began to weep. Snow-White Oh Dear huntsman, do not Take my life; I will go away Into the wild wood and n’er come Home again. Huntsman Away with you then poor child. Int.-Palace-Day Huntsman brings boar heart to Stepmother. Huntsman Her heart you majesty. Step-Mother Perfect… Int.-Dwarf Home-Evening (fading light) Snow White enters the home Snow-White I am so tired, and Hungry, and thirsty. Int. Dwarves home-Night 7 little dwarves enter home. Dwarf #1 Who has been sitting In my little chair? Dwarf #2 Who has been eating From my little plate? Dwarf #3 Who has been taking My little loaf? Dwarf #4 Who has been tasting My porridge? Dwarf #5 Who has been using My little fork? Dwarf #6 Who has been cutting With my little knife? Dwarf #7 Who has been drinking From my little cup? Dwarf #1 Who has been lying On my bed? Dwarf #2 And mine. Dwarf #3 And mine. Dwarf #4 And mine. Dwarf #5 And mine. Dwarf #6 And mine. Dwarf #7 Come look. Someone Is in my bed. All Oh goodness! Oh gracious! What beautiful child is this? Int. Dwarves home-Morning Snow-White finishing up how she had gotten to their humble abode. Snow-White …And that is how I found your home. Dwarf #1 If you keep the House for us, Dwarf #2 And cook, Dwarf #3 And wash, Dwarf #4 And make the beds, Dwarf #5 And sew and knit, Dwarf #6 And keep everything tidy And clean, Dwarf #7 You may stay with us, Dwarf #1 And you shall lack nothing. Palace-Day Step-mother in secret place speaking to the mirror on the wall. Step-Mother Looking-glass upon The wall, who is the Fairest of us all? Looking-Glass Queen, thou art of beauty Rare, but Snow-White living In the glen with seven little Men is a thousand times more fair. Step-mother That man must have deceived me. how then, can I make an end of Her? Ah-ha! I’ve got it! Ext.-Glen-Day Step-mother in the glen looking like an old peddler woman. Step-mother Fine wares to sell! Fine wares to sell! Snow-White Good day, good woman. What have you to sell? Step-Mother Good wares, fine wares, Laces of all colors. Snow-White (thought) I need not be afraid Of letting in this Good woman. Step-mother What a figure you are Child! Come and let me Lace you up properly For once. The Step-mother laced her up quickly and tightly. And she fell as though she were dead. Step-Mother Now you are done with being the fairest. Int.-House-Night 7 Dwarfs cut the lace and Snow-White begins to breath again. Snow White …and then I’m waking Up to all of you and It’s night. 7 Dwarves The old peddler woman must Have been the wicked queen. You must not let anyone in when we are not here. Int. Palace- Night Stepmother in room speaking to the looking-glass. Stepmother Looking-Glass upon the Wall, who’s the fairest Of us all? Looking-Glass Queen, thou art of beauty rare, but snow white living in the glen with 7 little men is a thousand times more fair. Step mother Well then I guess I will Have to kill her by Other means. Ext. Glen-Day Stepmother dressed as an old woman selling wares. Stepmother Good wares to sell! Good wares to sell! Snow White Go away! I must not let anyone in. Stepmother But you are not forbidden To look. Now for once Your hair shall be Properly combed. Snow white falls down senseless Stepmother Now paragon of beauty, This is the end of you. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Int. Palace-Night Stepmother in the same hidden room once again. Stepmother Looking-Glass upon the wall, Who is the fairest of us all? Looking-Glass Queen thou art of beauty Rare, but Snow white Living in the glen with 7 little men, is a thousand Times more fair. Queen shaking with anger. Stepmother SNOW WHITE SHALL DIE!!! Though it should cost me My life. Ext. Glen-Day Stepmother visiting snow white as an old peddler woman. Snow white I dare not let anyone in; The dwarfs said not to. Stepmother All right. I can easily Get rid of my apples else where. There, I will give you one. Snow White No. I dare not take anything. Stepmother Are you afraid of poison? Lo! I will cut it in half, You can have the red side and I will have the white side. Snow white takes a bite of the red side and falls down dead. Stepmother looks down at her and laughs. Stepmother Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! As white as snow, as red as Blood, as black as ebony! Snow white! This time the Dwarfs will not be able to bring You back to life again. Int. Palace-Day Step mother in room… again. Stepmother Looking-Glass upon the wall, Who is the fairest of us all? Looking-Glass You are the fairest of them all. Int. Dwarfs Home- Night The dwarfs are Lamenting over Snow White’s death. First Dwarf We cannot hide her away In this black ground. The Other 6 Dwarfs nodding in agreement Ext. Mountain-Day Snow White is in a glass coffin on top the mountain. A prince wants her even though she is dead. Prince Let me have the coffin, And I will give whatever You ask for it. First Dwarf We could not part with her. Second Dwarf For all the gold In the world. Prince I beseech you give it me. For I cannot live without Looking at Snow White. If You consent, I will bring You great honor, and care For you as if you were my Brethren. Ext. On the road to the Prince’s Castle- Day Someone holding one side of the coffin trips and the piece of apple comes up. Snow White opens her eyes, alive and well. Snow White Oh dear! Where am I? Prince (joyfully) You are near me!… I would Rather have you than any thing in the world. Come with me to my Fathers castle and be my bride. Snow White As you wish. Int. Palace- Day Stepmother in secret room. Step mother Looking glass upon the wall, Who is the fairest of us all? Looking Glass O Queen, thou art of Beauty rare, but the young Bride is a thousand times more Fair. Step mother Aarrrrrgh! How could This happen?! Maybe I Should not go. Gut then I may not have peace ‘til I see who this bride is. Ext. Other palace-Day Stepmother sees that the bride is Snow White. Step mother(Thinking) Snow White?! Bu-bu-but but She was dead! I saw her! Dead as a doornail! Ext. Courtyard-Day. Stepmother dancing in red hot iron shoes. Step mother
