Mother and me

Mother and me

A Poem by Jenni-Chan
"

The voices in my head say to tell you nothing till you read it. ...lol...

"

I’ve got to finish the dishes

Otherwise no breakfast

It’s too late

SMACK!

Making sure she’s gone

I breathe a sigh

Relief.

What’s that above your eye?

Ran into the hall door.

You said that last Monday.

Accident.

I should protect my mother

Accident

Her way to humiliate me

My various marks and bruises.

Accident

Slash-like marks on my face

Old scar on my stomach

Teeth

Chipped

Slammed against

Kitchen

Counter top.

Swollen bruise mother gave me

Accident

Fast as possible

I break down and cry

Please

Not today

She’ll find out

Mother and me.

Reject of the fifth grade

Accident

She’ll find out

Mother and me.

The scar on my chest

I feel so slimy inside

So much

To be liked

To be loved

I’m not so bad

As long as I can

Eating again

Your free

Mother and me

Never going to

Hurt you again

Your free.

Your free.

I’m free?

I’m free.

This is a scary subject but all too realistic. Good write.

Oh yes, I remember this. Nearly gave me a heart attack! Very good, however.

Jenn, reviews are not for conversations... Anyway, good work. The flow was really good all things considered. I can't help but race when I read it. Altogether, messed up.

I am insane. But that is nothing new. Everyone who knows me knows that I can overcome any difference! Ahem. Excuse me. I can overcome any difference. Even my own insanity. Though arguing with yourself.. more..
