The Lone Pack Wolf

This is a fable ^^

Long, long ago, in a woods somewhere in Canada, there lived a pack of timberwolves. The alpha's name was Haru. He was a great leader, but it was nearly impossible for another wolf to join the pack. Haru was always reluctant to accept any outsider, and when he did, he almost completely shunned them. The beta of this pack wasn't like this. Her name was Sayomi, Haru's special wolf. (Heehee <3) She accepted any new member and was willing to protect them from her mate.
One bright, snow-covered day, while the entire pack was searching for food, they came across a howling wolf, whose name was Ruriko. His pack had been captured by hunters, and God knows what happened to them.
Haru felt sorry for him, but still didn't want him in the pack. Sayomi, as always, persuaded him, and he caved. All the wolves but Haru comforted and welcomed him. Ruriko, in turn, became great friends with each and every one of them.
Ruriko knew that Haru didn't quite like him. So, he decided he was going to prove himself worthy to the one every wolf looked up to.
The wolves went hunting for some elk, but Ruriko wandered off, searching for something to prove himself. Sayomi noticed he was missing, and went with Haru to look for him.

When they found him, he was prowling around a black bear, who was gorging himself with raspberries.

While Haru looked on, interested, Sayomi knew the new wolf would die if he rushed the bear. She let out a low warning growl, but he ignored it. He was blinded that if he beat this bear, the alpha woud respect him. But he was wrong on both parts. He had no chance to kill a strong healthy bear because he was young and foolish. Even if he did, Haru would still look upon it as stupidity, not bravery.

Nevertheless, he charged forward.
