ConscienceA Poem by 13AFLast bit of slam poetry I have to post for a while
You
You stole what was left of my innocence No Wait These words too harsh for the truth You didn't take a piece of me not one I hadn't already given You held it you held me that part of my soul yours for all time But it was too good to be true That tattered broken cliche that I drag out every time my soul get drug through the mud Maybe Maybe I'd be wrong this time No Never To see you walk away that way with her I'd given up hope pined uselessly at night Oh the tears I shed for you at night Dreams Channels Flipping the pages for you to come back And you did What the hell is this? When did this happen? What did I do? Now lying in your arms my lips beg to ask the question Why me? You have the whole f*****g world why me? © 2012 13AF |
