Siren Train

Siren Train

A Poem by 13AF
"

A little bit of slam poetry. I never realized how hard these are to write down in rhythm until now. Tried to capture the way it was performed as best I could.

"
The rush of lights screaming screeching
World turned upside down
The pounding of a heart
Each thump one step
away from the past
and towards forever
The whirlwind speed depth
The fight the struggle
Never ending never ceasing never beginning in the first place
All an illusion all a farce
A spectacle
put on by mother nature to throw us
Sway us scare us jolt us
into paying attention
Looking
Acting
Alive
As if in life we're meant to live it be it taste it
It's a thing to be held not one to be thrown
A bird
Caution to the wind
The whirlwind
Siren train racing through the night coursing through veins this pounding hurt ache care
Love!
Love is all it is and all it ever was and all it ever will be
All we will ever be
Love
It's all it is

So, I've always been a bit of a writer. Dribble here drabble there, never really finishing anything at all. Opening up anything I've written to critique is a huge step for me but I'm tired of not havi.. more..
