I do.

I do.

A Poem by abi
"

subversion of social expectations.

"
Three steps to go.
This sacred ceremony will finally join us together.
Our vows bound and set.
I've been waiting for this for a long time.

Two steps to go.
I'm nearly there.
Reaching for forever,
With you, just there.

Lillies at hand,
Elders at my side,
A big, big, smile not reaching your eyes.

One step left till the finish line,
Where white meets black,
And silver binds.
Where flowers bloom,
And stars shine,
A different scent catches my eye.

'Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?'

I don't.
