Enigma of a goodbye

Enigma of a goodbye

A Poem by Akshay Jamodkar
"

When I say goodbye to the one i love, countless of thoughts fill my mind. Here are few of them, written in a free verse.

"

When I wave bye to you, when I watch u go away after meeting me,

I feel the world around me has changed.

The moment I put on my helmet and kick start my bike, the enigma with which we have been talking occupies me.

I start remembering the time we had, a banter, a laugh or the smiles be it.

Taking down all the notes in the chamber of my mind, hoping to never forget this.

There are many lying around in it and just to let you know all of them are special, just like this one.

I am lost in me, you and the ecstasy this world could offer me,

I smile to the kid in the back seat of the car, bored with the travelling he’s subjected to.

I love when all the vehicles start to cluster and fill the gaps when the lights turn green.

I drive with slowest speed possible, cause this is the thing I’d like to get unendingly high on!

I pity those who have been wasting the last hour when I had a wonderful one!

I thank those who didn’t call me in the last hour because I had a peaceful one!

And above all I hate you because I didn’t have enough of you!

Every time you leave, I know that we are gonna catch up soon, but the time in between…

Does it really need to be so slow?

I laugh on my foolishness and smile on my serendipity that it’s the easiest thing I know,

YOU HAVE NEVER ACTUALLY LEFT ME!
