My Life- Birth

My Life- Birth

A Poem by Kianna L. Bearden
"

A selection of poems detailing various points in my life; a series of absolute garbage by an absolute trash mammal.

"
Birth

I was an accident
to a mother of eighteen
The best thing to ever happen to her
At least, that what she tells me
The warmest day of January, 1999
Several days past due
I was always stubborn, she said
Even in the womb
Blue eyes like my father
Red hair like him, too
Jawline of my grandmother
Spirit of my mother, who
I most resembled
Though not physically
