More than a friend.

More than a friend.

A Chapter by Ashley.M.E
"

A poem for someone who still loves a cheater...

"

I would do anything to make you smile

To laugh to sing

Anything to make your heart not as cold

As it once had been

Just lean on me, though small in stature

I will never fall over

I will never break

Do not let them hurt you anymore

Do not give in like you had before

She may say she loves you

But that is just bull

Playing with your emotions

Like you are some fool

Do not let her take your heart

To make it coal in her hands

Do not let her have your soul

To drain into sand

I want you to be happy

You deserve nothing but the best

She is just a liar

A user, nothing less

Anyone can say

A sweet word

A cute breath

Anyone can pretend to care

About that thing pumping your chest

Do not allow her to confuse you

Do not allow her to take you away

You are better then she will ever be

Today, tomorrow, everyday

You do not deserve a cheater

Who puts you on the sidelines?

Tell she wants to play

You do not deserve to be treated

That way

You deserve your own happy ever after

In this world

Not the one she lies about in every way

You think you deserve nothing

To allow your soul to be frozen

You would never understand

That I see it everyday

You smile like you are fine to me

Yet your eyes say…

She does not love me

Then why love her?

Why care for her

Why sell yourself to the devil

To the witch who will throw you away once more?

Why let yourself die every minuet

Of everyday

I cannot allow you

To give yourself away

Not if I have anything to say

Lean on me today

I will be your friend

Your angel

Your keeper, anything

I do not think I can spend

Another day with you so scared

So sad,

So used

So abused by her lies

I may not be her

Nor, seem to love you as much

Nevertheless, I do

You are a brother

A friend

Someone I could never live without

Do not let her tear you apart

Tell you will never be the same

Remember this

You are more to me than just a friend.

a fictional reply to a true story.

I am sorry for what I did
Something my own heart forbid
I hurt you
something I said I wouldn't do
But I will not lie
You have every right to cry
and hate
and choose OUR fate.
I made a mistake.
My feelings for you arent fake.
He meant nothing to me.
and I was what I shouldn't be.
I deserve to be called a w***e
and if you say to I will walk out the door.
But I love you
I really really do.
I am asking for another chance
a new start, renewed romance.
Please baby, Please.

I love your honest in this piece, and you are doing what you are suppose to. I do hope in the end it works out for him, and for you. Great write. A few errors but nothing that takes away from the write. Great Job.

Regards,

Matthew

Nicely said and written. Probably the best I've read of yours.

I really like this poetry, the words are simplistic, because they reflect in a way that you are imagining you are talking to him. Your piece is so convincing, I know I would have a turn around if I was in his shoes. Great Poem

A lot of compassion and understanding in your words... you laid it on the line with no sugar coating and that is how you should be with the ones you care about. Hopefully he'll open his eyes soon enough.

Poetry is an art in which we display our inner or outward feelings. I think you’ve done a great job here.
Excellent write.

Very emotional poem. You put your heart into this poem. Great job. But in the end, we all have control of only our own decisions. Your friend should have the free will to make his own decisions. I'm sure he'll make the right one.
