Nation in Chaos

Nation in Chaos

A Chapter by Ashley.M.E

I find myself in a situation of Chaos

my mind mixed-up and cluttered

It's a reign of terror stuck with unruliness

so many riots and rebellions but no revolution

All there is is an uneasiness and unrest

so much disorder trapped with confusion

It's a free-for-all a holy mess

A trap that I find myself stuck

By the time the evil is done

there well be no triumph

no one will rejoice

the pride that had once been

will never be again

There will be no celebration

no victory that the world is no longer at war

There will be sadness

lost. All the symbolic statues

all the characteristics that the flags stood for

the significant of all the things we were

everything will be lost.

The flags stars and stripes well be turned

no one well look at the large green statue

no more comfort in what it used to stand for

freedom will never stand as it's message

There is no more amiable

no more friendliness in what once was a peaceful place

nothing well be easy nothing well be cozy

when your sleeping on the ground

praying for the simple things

home cooking, warmth

leave them all behind, because they well never come again

Here it is, the signal of death
The signs of Nazis, in sight of what was a great nation

the death or all, fire, prisons

torture, tell me please, this isn't my future

a place of gray

can no one else see are my eyes the only ones

I want them to notice

our nation is no longer great

I am in love with this. Extremely powerful in all means. These are the things we should be worrying about, not if our hair looks fine. This is a major problem in our societies and should be addressed immediately. I feel so gravitated towards issues like this and will literally sit in bed at night and yell at the world. ( well, not out loud). I thank you for gracing us with the pleasure of your work.

This brought back several poems on the folly of war to the back of my mind. Wonderful narration of the current and aftermath effects of a mindless war.

"By the time the evil is done
there well be no triumph
no one well rejoice
the pride that had once been
will never be again"

Well said, apt reasons to hoard a war.

One tiny thing, I thought you could've put this in some poetry form or least rhyme scheme (Etheree or maybe Rhyme royales). Nevertheless, this is a stunning piece of work. :)

I, too see our country in decline, and it seems to all be about profit... there is hope, hope that we can make it a better place, hope that change is always possible, but in order to change we need the majority standing together against those with a lot of money. We need to stop getting blinded by side issues and let our leaders know what we want.

You and yours must now change it. Those that came before have failed. If you want it to be better only you can do it. Good poem. Worried that someone so young can see so much darkness. Unfortunately, I know why and where this darkness comes from. Interesting piece. Well done.

The signs of nazis??? What do you mean by that???

I agree America has become distraught and crazy. Lies swarm around like flies effecting the nation dividing up everything. This nation somehow got lost in the swarm and politicians only want to tear down one another like tigers fighting over one chunk of meat.

Um, stopping abortions is a putting goverment into healthcare, coyote. So, that's no surprise. Once Obama stepped up to this position, all everyone is trying to do is to defraud him or something not knowing that if they break him down, the nation doesn't get any better. It's ashamed that so much hate is being spiraled among us. You are right, this is a nation in chaos.

P.S. read over this because instead of "will" you have "well".

Greatness is only what you make it.

I have seen a decline in our country year over year, from our morals through our principals and what we put value in. I don't know the answers I just know over the last 20 years everything has failed or changed. I see a drastic difference in our education system today compared to when I was in school. Our schools taught us to be patriotic and the schools today teach.. well I have no idea what they teach our children. I don't think any government rather Republican or Democratic has the best interest of the people in mind, they both lie to us, they both pull the wool over our eyes, they both use the media to do this to us and they both serve money over people. We the people need to stop segmenting ourselves into political parties for neither are good for us and we need to band together as brothers and sisters. Our nation isn't great anymore this I agree with, I blame it on the pursuit of profits.

This is a horrific gaze into the consequences of our actions.
