The Darkness

There is no escape

Evil is around

You can turn you head in all direction

Without a sound

You will still be found

You think your alone

But you are more then surrounded

When they make their move

No one will hear you scream

For the pitch black darkness

Of the whole that has swallowed you

Does not allow sound

Its the black hole of your soul

It has sealed your fait whole

You don’t need to worry

Pain is just in your mind

Though the crimes of humanity

Well more then be yours to bare

Because you are the human

Who lives in despair

You have allowed the demons

To cover your soul

So all that’s left

Is to give in

To the darkness you allowed

This was brilliantly crafted Ash! It has a great esoteric feeling to it and marches us along smoothly to understand that we are all of our own making. It gives an image to humanities mental state and how each generation will have to take on the burdens of those before them. In the end, it's the individual that chooses how they deal with those burdens. They can either wallow in them and feel worse. Or do something about them.
