Evil and darkness

Evil and darkness

A Chapter by Ashley.M.E

The vivid hairs

Of a darkened smile

Casts its shade

Over the sun

The day is over

The day is done

With no return

We all must run

For shadows are everywhere

The darkness taking over

We find we are lost

In the pit of despair

This place we once loved

This place was once our home

Is now just cold dust

Swallowed by unfortunate luck

We find we are stuck

Trapped just to watch

Our eyes can’t look away

From the disaster they made

For no more noise

The silence echoes

Everything falls

Without a sound

For if one cried

No one could hear

For they all are now statues

Waiting for the end

Evil has come

It will never leave

Taking all souls

Good, evil, misunderstood

No one is left

The world sits alone

The day will never come

We’re all stuck in the cold

The flow could use a little work but I really liked the content of this poem. Dark, desperate, solemn, very nice. Good commentary with the "This place we once loved / This place was once our home / Is now just cold dust". I liked that part. Well done.

This is like one great doomsday prophecy made into a poem. It conjures up images of the end of the world, seeming to describe the futile and grim situation of existence at this moment in time. It could also be a reflection of the path that mankind is inevitably on - at least in metaphorical terms. In fact, in this sense, it has a universal meaning that one could apply to any such dystopian concept or personal tribulation. Powerful words and dark, intense imagery. Very good work.

i'm pleasantly surprised with your dark tale, opens us up to a different dimension to your mind
literally smooth
though full of cold reality of what happens when humans lose their warmth and mother nature turns cold...
it was interesting.

I really don’t know where to with this piece other than purgatory or the depth of hell ether way it doesn’t sound fun. But as I always say poetry is an art and you defiantly displayed that here in this write.
Great job well done.
